Cinco Jotas acorn-fed 100% Ibérico ham is Spain's national treasure. It's an unrivaled product obtained from the rear legs of Ibérico pigs raised free-range in the meadows of southwest Spain. Its curing time is around 36-48 months.
These Cinco Jotas slices are premium products, veritable jewels of Spanish gastronomy. Thanks to the meticulous carving and packaging process, the unique properties of the product remain unchanged, exuding the exquisite aromas and flavors of the Spanish meadows.
STORAGE & CARE
Ideally, it should be stored somewhere dark, cool, and dry. If you are going to consume it for some time, we recommend keeping it in the refrigerator as it will be kept at a constant temperature for longer, but if you are going to consume it in the next few days, you can also leave it out of the refrigerator without any problem.
When ready to eat, place the unopened package in hot water for about 30 seconds to maintain a fine balance between flavor, aroma, and textures. This process also ensures that the ham retains its characteristic color and transparency, while making it easier to separate the slices to display and enjoy.
Once opened, we recommend that you store it in the refrigerator in the same envelope in which you received it, properly sealed, to prevent it from drying out excessively.
It is recommended to take it out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before consumption, after 15 minutes open the package and separate the slices on a plate. Ideally, the ham should be consumed at room temperature, approximately 24 degrees.
Most fun of all, to maximize authentic enjoyment of the ham-tasting experience, we recommend picking it up and consuming it with your fingers. It’s the Spanish way.
