Manchego derives its name from the central region of La Mancha, which was also the home of the legendary Don Quixote. It is a legend in its own land and a treasure for the rest of the world. It is without a doubt, Spain's most famous cheese. It enjoys a rich taste, not super salty, not super sweet.

Spain's most exported commodity, this famous sheep's milk cheese has it all.

STORAGE & CARE

Serve it at room temperature.

We recommend storing it in its vacuum pack in the fridge as it has a cold and stable temperature. Once opened, wrap it in plastic wrap in the fridge.

SERVING RECOMMENDATION

One of the most traditional uses of manchego is in Spanish tapas, where it is usually accompanied by Cinco Jotas Iberico ham, Spanish Olives, and Obando Picos Gourmet Manchego can be enjoyed as is, or accompanied with dried tomatoes, figs, or nuts such as almonds, hazelnuts, and walnuts.

INGREDIENTS

Made from Pasteurized manchego sheep MILK, salt, firming agent: calcium chloride, rennet, lactic ferments, and the preservative: lysozyme (from EGG). Rind: Preservative: natamycin and colorings: plain caramel and annatto norbixin. The rind is not edible.
